What makes The|Tides different from a traditional spa?

The|Tides combines the power of nature with modern neuroscience. Each treatment is designed to bring body and mind into balance — using natural sea elements, therapeutic touch, and calming scents that invite you to slow down and restore.

What is a Welnamis Brainwave experience?

A Welnamis Brainwave experience is a deeply restorative, multisensory treatment designed to calm the mind and rebalance the body. Through a combination of refined wellness rituals—such as a gentle scrub, massage, and breathing exercises—and vibroacoustic frequencies, the brain is guided into specific states of relaxation. Each session supports the nervous system in slowing down, releasing tension, and restoring a natural sense of calm, clarity, and renewed energy.

On Terschelling, you don't have to look far for space. You'll find it outside, between the dunes and the sea, and inside at Elements too. Warm water, silence and treatments by The|Tides help your body slow down and your mind settle. Here, wellness isn't something you squeeze in between other plans. It's part of your stay.

Let it Go

A place where relaxation, silence and nature come together.

Start your morning with a few unhurried lengths in the heated pool (29°C). Then warm up in the Finnish sauna or steam room, taking time to unwind in between.

The Elements wellness area is yours to use throughout the day, in whatever way suits you. Swim, warm up, cool down and start again: you set the pace. Whether it's a calm start to the day, a reward after a long walk along the beach, or a gentle transition into the evening.

Everything is under one roof, so you can walk straight from your room or apartment into the wellness area. No schedule to follow, just time that's yours again.

Sometimes your body needs something other than simple rest. That's why The|Tides BrainBodyMindWellness™ created holistic rituals exclusively for Elements, bringing together touch, breath, sound and neurowellness. At their heart is the nervous system: not trying harder to relax, but making room for recovery.

At Elements, you can choose from four two-hour rituals focusing on physical recovery, sleep, skincare and renewed energy, among others. Or try one of three one-hour Brainwave Experiences, in which sound, touch and vibration guide your brain towards a calmer rhythm.

Treatments take place in our two treatment rooms. Places are limited each day, so we recommend booking ahead.

After a treatment, there's nowhere else you need to be. No coat to put on, no car to get into. Just a short walk back to your room or apartment as the dunes outside slowly fade into darkness.

The rooms and apartments at Elements are designed around calm, space and the landscape. Large windows bring the island inside, natural materials add warmth, and soft beds are waiting for you when the day is done.

Perhaps that's the greatest luxury of all: the feeling of the wellness doesn't end the moment you close the door behind you.

After warmth, water and fresh air comes a different kind of attention: the kind you give to good food.

At Restaurant Dún, the kitchen follows the seasons. Ingredients, flavours and dishes change with whatever the island and the time of year have to offer. The menu has something for every moment and every appetite, from something light and fresh after a day in the wellness area to a leisurely feast when the evening calls for it.

Settle in for a long lunch or join us for dinner. Afterwards, all that's left is the short walk upstairs.
