For fire safety reasons and to maintain peace and quiet at our destinations, this is not allowed. Larger gatherings in a single accommodation are not permitted.

Are parties or events allowed?

Parties, events and gatherings with loud music are not permitted. Our stays are all about peace and relaxation, and we want to prevent disturbance to other guests and local residents.

Are there specific conditions for groups?

Yes. For groups, additional arrangements may apply—for example regarding quiet hours, occupancy and responsible use of the accommodation—to ensure a pleasant stay for everyone.

How do we book multiple accommodations at the same time?

The easiest way is to contact us with your group size, preferred dates and any preferences. We’ll check availability and propose a suitable combination of accommodations.

What do you mean by a group home?

A group home is a spacious accommodation for multiple guests travelling together. It offers sufficient bedrooms, bathrooms and shared living areas, so you can spend time together while still enjoying privacy.

What type of beds does Elements Terschelling offer?

In our suites and apartments, you sleep in a generous double bed measuring 160 or 180 cm wide. While there are two mattresses beneath the topper, the bed is designed as one unit and cannot be separated. In the second (and where applicable third) bedrooms of the apartments, some beds are made up with two single duvets for added comfort.

Is the bedding single or double?

In our hotel suites, you sleep under a soft double duvet. In the additional bedrooms of the apartments, we use single duvets so each guest has their own comfortable sleeping space.

Can the beds be separated?

The rooms are designed for calm and harmony, which is why the beds generally cannot be separated. In a limited number of hotel suites this is technically possible, but it is complex and only considered in exceptional cases.

Can we rent a space for workshops, trainings or meetings?

Most Dutchen destinations do not have their own meeting or workshop spaces. Erfgoedpark De Hoop is an exception and does offer a meeting room.There are no group spaces within the Elements Terschelling building. However, the island offers many unique locations for gatherings, retreats and sessions. We’re happy to advise on venues that align with the spirit of the island.In addition, there are often suitable external venues nearby our destinations. We are happy to advise on the option that best fits your plans.

What can I expect at restaurant Dún?

Restaurant Dún offers a refined bistro menu where French influences meet local Terschelling produce. You dine with views over dunes, sea and forest. À la carte dining is available for up to seven guests; larger parties are served a specially composed menu.

Can I rent a bicycle during my stay?

Yes, through Zeelen Fietsverhuur you can easily reserve a bicycle via their app. Pick-up and return are available at the harbour or at the hotel. A wide range of electric and non-electric bikes is offered, with cargo bikes and trailers added in spring.

How accessible is Elements for guests with reduced mobility?

The hotel suites and restaurant are accessible for wheelchair users; the apartments are not, due to stairs. Some bathrooms offer sufficient clearance for a standard wheelchair. The restaurant has an accessible toilet.

What are the breakfast hours?

Breakfast is served between 8:30 and 10:30 am — a gentle start to the day with morning light over the dunes. Times can be adjusted to suit guest needs.

Is there parking available at Elements Terschelling?

Yes, parking is available at Elements Terschelling. After loading and unloading, cars can be parked on the parking lot (150 meters at the bottom of the hill) at Elements.

Can I bring my car to Elements Terschelling?

Yes, you can bring your car to Terschelling and to Elements. However, space on the island is limited, so it is good to take this into account. If you want to come by car, it is always necessary to reserve the correct crossing in advance.

Do I need to book the ferry in advance?

Yes, we recommend booking your ferry crossing in advance via www.rederijdoeksen.nl, especially during weekends and school holidays. This way, your journey to Terschelling begins calmly and effortlessly.

How many people can stay in the apartments on Terschelling?

The apartments at Elements can accommodate two to six people, depending on the type of apartment.

What are the opening hours of Restaurant Dún?

Restaurant Dún is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You are warmly welcome for breakfast between 08:30 and 10:30, for lunch from 12:00 to 15:00, and for dinner from 18:00 to 23:00.

Are wellness facilities available?

Yes, Elements Terschelling offers a calm wellness space with a heated indoor pool and soothing saunas. All facilities are available to guests, inviting you to unwind and slow down.

What are the opening hours of the Wellness?

The wellness facilities at Elements are accessible to guests daily between 08:00 and 22:00.

Are dogs allowed in the room or apartment, and at restaurant Dún?

Dogs are allowed in the apartments and hotel rooms specifically designated for pets at Elements Terschelling. In all public areas of the building, dogs must be kept on a leash.At restaurant Dún, dogs are also welcome; in the evening, please inform the staff upon arrival so we can take this into account with your reservation.

Is Elements Terschelling close to the beach?

Yes, the Elements apartments and hotel rooms are located right in the middle of the dunes and just a short distance from the North Sea beach. Through a back exit, you can walk straight onto the wide beach via a sandy path.

Daily housekeeping is included for hotel rooms. For the apartments, in addition to the final cleaning, a daily “touch-up” service is provided (approximately 10 minutes), which includes making the bed, removing waste, replenishing toilet paper, and light vacuuming if needed. For stays longer than five nights, a linen change can also be requested.

What is the difference between the apartments and the hotel rooms?

The apartments are spacious and feature a private kitchen, separate living and sleeping areas, and a terrace or balcony. A washing machine and dryer also make an apartment particularly suitable for a longer stay. The hotel rooms are more compact, yet still stylishly furnished and equipped with all the comforts for a shorter stay.

In one of our sixteen hotel rooms, you wake up to views of the sea, dunes or woodland. You have breakfast at Dún, and when you return from the beach, your room has been cleaned. Travelling with children? Book the Sea View Family Room: two rooms with a private hallway in between, so you’re together while everyone has their own space.

Staying longer or with a larger group? An apartment quickly feels like your own home on the island. You have your own kitchen and up to 130 m² of space. Some apartments have a private sauna, and from the dune apartments on the ground floor, you step straight from the terrace into the dunes.

When you arrive, the beds are made and towels and bathrobes are ready for you. After that, the apartment is truly yours for a while: we stop by regularly for a quick visit to collect rubbish and top up the toilet paper, but there is no daily cleaning as there is in the hotel. That’s why each apartment has its own washing machine and dryer. Would you like extra towels? Simply book them through the Dutchen Guest App. Staying longer than five nights? On Terschelling, the kitchen cooks bistro-style, using what the island and the season have to offer. Think fish from the Wadden Sea, local cheeses and, of course, cranberries.
