National Park Urho Kekkonen is located in north-eastern Finland and is known for its pristine beauty. It is one of Finland's largest protected areas. In the vast tundra, green forests, impressive mountain scenery and beautiful wetlands, you can spot fascinating wildlife such as large herds of grazing reindeer, bears, wolverines and various bird species.

 

In summer, the sun shines all day and you can take endless walks or explore the area by bike and horse. Take a refreshing dip in the lakes or canoe down one of the calm rivers.

 

In winter, you can go straight from your Ice Cube villa on to the ski slopes or take a beautiful husky and snowmobile tour. Cross-country skiing routes lead you through beautiful nature.

Saariselkä is located in the pristine wilderness of Finnish Lapland, 250 kilometres above the Arctic Circle. The village has quickly become a popular, tourist destination and has a small ski area with 15 slopes, 5 ski lifts and a freestyle park for snowboarders. Nearby, there are more than 200 km of well-maintained cross-country skiing trails and you can skate, snow tub and toboggan on Lapland's longest toboggan run. Saariselkä is the ideal starting point for hiking through the beautiful surroundings, it is a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. For basic necessities, you will find several shops and good restaurants. There is a lovely spa and an indoor playground for children as well.
