The villas are extremely comfortable with a fireplace, good mattresses, and a luxury kitchen, as you would expect from us. Some holiday homes have a barbecue and a fire pit. One holiday villa even has a private swimming pool in the garden. The beautiful holiday homes with their thatched roofs seamlessly blend into the surroundings. Inside, the holiday villas are a feast for the eyes as well. They are furnished with great attention to detail.
Villapark Mooi Schoorl offers charging facilities for electric cars. For the youngest visitors, there is a small playground at the holiday park. A little further away is the famous Klimduin of Schoorl; a huge sand dune that provides plenty of fun for young and old. If you want to fully enjoy the beach, book your own beach cabin with your holiday home.
Mooi Schoorl is located in the center of Schoorl, in a quiet side street of the shopping street. From your holiday villa, you can walk straight into the Schoorlse Duinen. Boutiques, restaurants, and the Klimduin are within walking distance. Charming villages, the cheese city of Alkmaar, and the shopping and cultural cities of Haarlem and Amsterdam are easily accessible. Villapark Mooi Schoorl is in a unique location. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday is just a stone's throw away.
If you want to explore the area by (electric) bike, there is a bike rental shop in the shopping street, opposite the supermarket. Through a beautiful route through the dunes and along the beach, you can quickly cycle to the artists' village of Bergen. Schoorl is a paradise for mountain biking enthusiasts. There are many challenging and varied routes in the Schoorlse Duinen. If you prefer to explore the area on horseback, Duinmanege van Poelenburgh organizes various horse riding tours for riders of all levels. You can swim at the beaches of Hargen or Bergen or in the indoor and outdoor swimming pool in Alkmaar.
Klimduin (Climbing dune)
In the middle of the village of Schoorl, within walking distance of the villa park, lies the Schoorlse Klimduin. A 51-meter-high sand dune that provides a lot of climbing and scrambling fun for young and old. Perfect for a workout or hours of fun for the youngest holidaymakers. While the children conquer the Klimduin, you can relax with a cappuccino or a glass of wine on one of the terraces at the foot of the Klimduin.
The Schoorlse Duinen
Schoorl is the perfect place for nature lovers. The nature here is overwhelming. It is fascinating to see how the beach, forest, dunes, and polder landscape alternate. The Schoorlse Duinen is the widest and most diverse nature reserve along the Dutch coast. Beautiful hiking routes and cycle paths wind through the dunes and polder landscape. Staatsbosbeheer (State Forest Management) regularly organizes fun activities for young and old, such as the Elfendeurtjesroute (Elf Door Route) and the Blotenvoetenpad (Barefoot Path). Whether you spend time here in summer or winter, it's always wonderful.
Artists' village Bergen
Just five kilometers from the holiday park in Schoorl lies the beautiful Bergen. A charming village with a cozy center. Here you will find numerous cozy restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and an artists' center. The deer park in the village is special. Just outside the center, you will find an artificial ski slope and Pannenkoekenhuis Duinvermaak (Pancake House Duinvermaak) with a nice playground. There is always something going on in Bergen. There are annual events such as the Kunst 10-daagse (Art 10-day), Holland Music Sessions, Lichtjesavond (Lights Evening), the Zomerse Kunstmarkt (Summer Art Market), and street markets.
Bergen aan Zee
By car, you can reach Bergen aan Zee from the center of Bergen in 10 minutes. You can also easily reach Bergen aan Zee from the holiday park in Schoorl by bike through the Schoorlse Duinen. It's a beautiful route. Bergen aan Zee has several nice beach pavilions for a delicious lunch, drinks, or dinner.
North of Schoorl is the village of Groet. The gateway to the North Sea. The nature here becomes a bit rougher; the wooded area makes way for a polder landscape. Groet has a few good shops, such as a butcher and a bakery. Restaurant De Bokkesprong is a well-known establishment in the region. The restaurant is housed in an authentic farmhouse with a history dating back to 1905.
Cheese city Alkmaar is a cozy town with picturesque canals and nice shops. You can do extensive shopping in Het Fnidsen, the old shopping area with the cutest boutiques. From April to September, there is a weekly cheese market. In the summer months, it takes place twice a week. Of course, the cheese city also has a cheese museum to visit. On the outskirts of Alkmaar and Bergen, there is a large playground where our youngest guests can have fun for hours. Haarlem and Amsterdam are also easily accessible from the holiday park in Schoorl. A visit to the Zaanse Schans is also a nice getaway from your holiday villa.
At the Dutchen reception, you can get many more great tips about the area.
