Weideduyn 11 is an 8 person holiday rental, tranquilly situated on a corner of the small-scale holiday park Weideduyn. The villa is equipped with an infrared sauna and has two bathrooms.
Layout
The spacious living room has an atmospheric interior and is equipped with a flat screen TV and a DVD player. Furthermore, you can have a wonderful time around the gas fireplace. The open kitchen is adjacent to the living room, which is equipped with, among others, a combination microwave oven, milk frother, Nespresso coffee machine, gas range cooker, dishwasher and refrigerator with a small freezer compartment. There is a washing machine and a dryer which are ready for use in the storage room.
The spacious entrance has a main staircase leading to the basement and the top floor. In the basement you will find 2 spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom; this is also where the infrared sauna is located. The master bedroom has a second flat screen TV. The first bathroom is equipped with both a shower and a bathtub, double washbasins and a toilet. The second bathroom is equipped with both a shower and a bathtub, double washbasins and a toilet. The top floor has two extra sleeping spots. both with two single beds. The first bedroom has a direct connection to the stairs (not enclosed), the second bedroom can be reached through the first bedroom as they are connected by a door.
The double doors in the living room lead to the terrace at the front of the holiday villa, which faces west. This is comfortably furnished with large woorden dining table. A wonderful place to enjoy the sun and the magnificent view of the meadows.
The holiday home is child friendly and is equipped with a high chair, cot and stair gate.

In the neighbourhood
The centre of Schoorl is within walking distance of Weideduyn 11. Here you will find the Klimduin (climbing dune), nice restaurants, bicycle rental services, shops and of course, terraces. From the holiday park it will take you approximately 15 minutes, via a beautiful route through the dunes, to reach the sea and the beach. It's approximately a 35 minute walk through the woods to the artists' village of Bergen.

There is always something to do in Schoorl and the surrounding area. Beautiful nature is all around you. That alone makes it an absolute pleasure in every season. The lover of peace and nature feels absolutely at home in Schoorl. The Schoorl Dunes National Park is the widest and most varied nature area along the Dutch coast. Beautiful hiking trails and cycle paths wind through the dunes to Schoorl aan Zee. Dune tops of more than 50 metres rise above the surrounding North Holland landscape. Schoorl has the highest dune tops in the Netherlands.
Nature has its own charm every season. At the Schoorl Dunes visitor centre (only Dutch website), many fun activities and excursions are organised by the forestry. For young and old, there is plenty to do every season.
Dutchen's holiday homes are nice all year round. In summer, you enjoy the outdoors, the garden and the surroundings. While in winter, it is cosy in your cottage and you enjoy the wellness facilities. Warming up in the hot tub or Finnish sauna after a cold day gives you a wonderful feeling of relaxation. Every season has its advantages and a (mini)holiday in Schoorl is always a good idea.
Autumn
In autumn, the forest is at its most beautiful. Gorgeous colours, beautiful light, searching for mushrooms and picking up souvenirs from the forest lying on the ground in front of the pack. The children make fun crafts out of them later in the cottage. You cycle through the forest from Schoorl to Bergen. The children like to make a stop at Pannenkoekenhuis Duinvermaak, just before you enter Bergen. Duinvermaak has a nice playground. Take the little ones on the gnome trail that starts at the visitor centre in the Schoorl Dunes. A perfect autumn outing. The Klimduin, in the middle of the village of Schoorl, is fun for young and old.
Schoorl is known for its varied and challenging mountain bike routes. Autumn lends itself perfectly to a day of mountain biking. MTBs can be hired if required.
Winter
Get a breath of fresh air in the Schoorl Dunes or on the beach. Feel the wind through your hair, enjoy the peace, get a nice cold shower and then warm yourself up with hot chocolate in a beach pavilion. At home in your luxury holiday home, enjoy your private wellness. Fireplace on, drink a hot mug or a nice glass of wine, play games, cook together. Enjoy and relax to the fullest so that you can get on with it.
Spring
Spring awakens nature; new life rears its head. Head out. On horseback, on foot or by bike. Settle down on a bench, maybe you can take off your coat for a while. Catch those few rays of sun on your skin. Sniff the fresh spring air and go on an expedition in the Schoorl Dunes. Every month there is a different theme. Little ones will love the Elfendeurtjesroute. In the evening, enjoy the wellness facilities in your holiday villa or by a fire in the garden.
Summer
With kilometres of long beaches, Schoorl is a perfect destination in summer. Laze on the beach, swim, have lunch, drinks, dine on the beach. For sports enthusiasts, Hargen aan zee comes highly recommended. Here it is relatively quiet even on a summer's day. There is a windsurfing club for surfers and kiters and surf kayaking is offered. Schoorl and the surrounding area buzzes in summer. There is plenty to do such as fairs, markets and festivals. The cheese market in Alkmaar is definitely worth a visit. After a lovely day, have a cosy dinner together in the garden of your holiday home and enjoy long summer evenings outside. Summer as summers are meant to be!
