Luxury 10-person wellness villa in Finnish Lapland, equipped with whirlpool, spacious Finnish sauna and lovely fireplaces. Spot the Northern Lights, discover the most beautiful ski slopes and take magnificent husky rides through the pristine nature of Urho Kekkonen National Park.
The Ice Cube villa consists of solid, ecological wood and blends into the surrounding nature with its unique architectural design. You will find natural materials, authentic wood accents, warm reindeer fur and a fantastic view of the national park.
Layout
Ground floor
The Ice Cube villa is designed for optimal comfort and luxurious relaxation.
On the ground floor you will find a lovely wellness area with whirlpool, double rain shower and spacious Finnish sauna. Relax in the cosy loggia by the warm fireplace and enjoy the panoramic views over the beautiful (snow-covered) landscape. In fine weather, open the large glass wall and connect the wellness area to the garden.
Near the entrance, you will find a special room for storing and drying ski equipment. Ideal when you come home after a wonderful skiing or husky ride through the snow.
You will find one bedroom equipped with a large double bed and ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a lovely rain shower and toilet.
First floor
The spacious living room offers a unique nature experience because of the large windows facing south, with a view of Finland's largest national park. The windows extend from top to bottom and offer a special connection with nature at any time of day, even indoors.
Settle down in the sitting area by the fine wood-burning fireplace and dream away with the view.
The luxurious dining kitchen offers a spacious dining table and is fully equipped with an induction hob, dishwasher, oven, kettle and coffee machine, among other things.
On the first floor you will also find two spacious studios with living room, bedroom and private bathroom with rain shower. The living room has a comfortable sofa bed which offers extra sleeping space for 2 children. Via the stairs you reach the bedroom with double bed and a unique heated glass window facing the northern sky. Ideal for spotting the Northern Lights, just from your bed!
The Ice Cube villa has its own parking space, suitable for 2 cars.

VALO Ice Cube Villas are located in Saariselkä, a thriving holiday destination in the middle of the rugged nature of Finnish Lapland far beyond the Arctic Circle. The village centre of Saariselkä is within walking distance.
Each villa has stunning views over the national park and is south facing. The villas are located right by the ski slopes; from your front door you can make wonderful ski tours. The area offers many opportunities for fantastic winter activities such as husky rides (dog sled rides), ice fishing and snowmobile expeditions.
The Ice Cube villas are equipped with all the luxury for a winter holiday: a large central fireplace, a spacious Finnish sauna, a whirlpool (hot tub) and a cosy loggia where you can enjoy a drink by the warmth of the fireplace after an outdoor activity.
Saariselkä is easily accessible by airplane; Ivalo airport is a 25-minute drive away. There are also several charter flights from Helsinki. Finnair flies to Saariselkä three times daily and Norwegian Air offers two flights a week.
