Explore the surroundings

In Drenthe, there is more to do than you think: go for a walk in the unspoilt nature of the Drentsche Aa National Park or brave the river Hunze on a canoe trip past unique, authentic esdorpen (small villages). With the children, you can spot the Big Five in the dolmens in the area or go among the treetops in one of the climbing parks. From your cottage in Drenthe you can also visit many interesting museums where you can learn everything about the rich history of the area. In cities such as Groningen and Assen you will enjoy cosy shopping streets and excellent restaurants.
